Kenya Trip Recap | Holy Trinity Church

On August 4, a team of twelve from Holy Trinity Church, led in part by Neopolis Interim Director of Global Operations, Sully Curtin, traveled from Chicago to Nairobi to spend a week visiting Neopolis ministry partners in Kenya and East Africa. They visited churches, schools, ministry organizations, and homes and learned about what the work of the gospel looks like in Kenya, and how the Western church can best partner in it.


TRIP OVERVIEW

Day 1
Worshiped in Kenya at Holy Trinity Church Mathare, where they were welcomed by Pastor Paul & Abigail Ogalo.

Day 2
Met with Harrison Mungai and other leaders of GracePoint Church, a growing multi-congregational church in Nairobi's outskirts. They also visited their partner ministry, iServe Africa, an organization training young people in Bible teaching and servant leadership.

Day 3
Returned to Mathare and learned more about the needs of the community, visiting people in their homes and schools. They also visited Ekklesia Afrika, a non-profit seeking to provide books and theological resources to East African churches.

Day 4
Took a day trip to Nakuru, visiting Ronald Kogo and others from Crosspoint Bible Church, where they learned about ministry in Kenya's 3rd largest city.

Day 5
Enjoyed Nairobi with Charles Karuri and his family, their outstanding guides and hosts for their week in Kenya! Charles pastors at Crossway Baptist Church in Malindi.
